A Journey through the Faith History of the World!

Arbo-Lights took place in the historic Arboretum Park, Normanton, Derby from 4 to 7pm on 21st November 2009.
The Forum of Faiths for Derby gave the people of Derby a unique opportunity to journey through the Faith History of the World.  The journey was illuminated by hundreds of glow sticks and at intervals along the route there were illuminated displays from each of the Faith Communities in the order they appeared on earth.  The journey finished with a multi-coloured Interfaith Display showing how the faith communities are working together.    

There were children’s rides and food stalls, which made it a fun day out for all the family.

more than a hundred and fifty people braved the weather to celebrate the wonderful, diverse Faith Communities we have in Derby, learning about the different faith communities and how together we are all part of the Faith History of our World.
The event was funded by the Derby Community Safety Partnership under the ‘Building Bridges for our shared future’ programme.
